Amel is a designer/ illustrator. She was born in Indonesia. She ate, slept, then moved to Australia in the 90s. While not busy working, sleeping or making art, she finds delight in music, cooking, video games, and meeting the needs of her very demanding cat.
That I have a voice through my art. A piece of artwork can mean a lot of different things to different people and that’s pretty cool. What’s the hardest part? Artist’s block, and finding time to create art even after you’ve gotten rid of that artist’s block.
What are some of the things you’re obsessed right now?
I now unwillingly have a growing aquatic snails collection That, and Pantone 116C.
What are you working on now that’s exciting for you?
Doing baroque style royal portraits of my friends’ pet.
